- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

The Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan Men's is a midweight fleece mid-layer built around a 340 gsm Alpenex™ II face fabric, made for hiking, hut trips and cold everyday wear. It weighs 565 g and has no membrane, so it is a warmth layer rather than a weather layer. For the Fall/Winter 2026 revision the cut moved from fitted to regular and the two zippered hand pockets are now offset, so they sit flatter against the body under a pack strap or a shell.
Who is the Covert Cardigan for?
This is the fleece for someone who wants one durable, warm midweight layer for low-output hikes, hut trips, travel and daily winter wear, and who prefers a roomy, relaxed-feeling regular cut over an athletic one. It is not the right piece if you want a slim fleece under a tight hardshell or a climbing harness, if you need a hood, or if you are looking for the previous athletic Covert silhouette.
How warm is the Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan?
Warmth comes entirely from the fabric: 340 gsm Alpenex™ II fleece, 100% polyester with recycled content, with stretch for mobility. At 565 g this sits well above a 100 g grid fleece, which makes it a genuinely warm mid-layer and an easy one to overheat in when you push the pace. The fleece is air permeable and carries no membrane and no stated water-repellent finish, so rain, wet snow and sustained wind call for a shell over the top.
Which size should you choose in the Covert Cardigan?
The Covert Cardigan runs large in this regular fit. If you wear only a base layer or a light shirt underneath, consider going one size down; if you plan to wear a thicker layer below it, stay in your usual size. Centre back length is 67 cm at size M and varies by size. Here the cardigan is offered in M, L and XL — compare your chest measurement against the Arc'teryx men's tops size chart before ordering.
How is the Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan constructed?
The Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan Men's is a single-fabric fleece cardigan: one 340 gsm Alpenex™ II body fabric does the insulating, with no separate fill and no laminated membrane. The fleece is 100% polyester with recycled content and is built with stretch, so the regular cut moves with you rather than binding across the shoulders when you reach. Arc'teryx states the fabric is abrasion- and pilling-resistant. Storage is simple and deliberate: two zippered hand pockets, set off-centre so they lie flatter against the body under a hipbelt or a shell, plus a zippered sleeve pocket. The hem is a plain, clean finish with no drawcord, so it cannot be cinched down.
Is the Covert Cardigan suitable for skiing and ski touring?
Arc'teryx lists hiking as the activity for this style, and that is where the Covert Cardigan does its best work: steady, low-output days where 340 gsm of fleece keeps you comfortable at a walking pace. As a resort mid-layer under a waterproof shell it works well in cold conditions, particularly on slow days and chairlift laps. For ski touring and fast alpine days it is the wrong tool — 565 g of midweight fleece is heavy and bulky in a pack and too warm on the climb, and a lighter grid fleece will breathe through the effort better. There are no snowsport features here: no powder skirt, no RECCO reflector and no hood, since this style is the cardigan rather than the Covert Pullover Hoody. Worn as an outer layer under an abrasive load such as a cross-body bag strap, the surface can scuff over time.
What is the Covert Cardigan made of and how do you wash it?
The body of the Covert Cardigan is Alpenex™ II fleece at 340 gsm, 100% polyester with recycled content. Polyester fleece of this weight holds its loft through repeated washing and dries quickly, which is part of why it works as a daily layer. Machine wash on low and tumble dry on low. Skip bleach, fabric softener, dry cleaning and the iron — softener in particular coats the fibres and dulls the fabric's ability to move moisture. Wash dark colourways such as Black Heather separately. Like all synthetic fleece, this fabric can release plastic microfibres into the water when washed, so wash only when it needs it.
How sustainable is the Covert Cardigan?
The fleece uses bluesign® approved materials and recycled content in the body fabric, and the garment is PFAS compliant. It is sewn at Spectre Garment Technologies in An Giang, Vietnam, a Fair Trade Certified™ facility.
