Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

Skistore Swing

De Opslach 3

8448 GV Heerenveen

The Netherlands

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

The Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is a long, insulated men's ski jacket for piste skiing in all weather. It pairs a waterproof, breathable HELLY TECH® Professional shell with 80 g PrimaLoft® Black Eco insulation. The shell is a 4-way stretch fabric with no shoulder seams, so the longer length does not restrict your movement.

Who is the Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket for?

This ski jacket suits resort skiers who spend long, cold days on the mountain and prefer a longer cut. A helmet-compatible hood, an adjustable stretch powder skirt, a ski pass pocket and a RECCO® reflector cover a full piste day. It is not the jacket for ski touring with long climbs or for climbing. It also does not suit skiers who run warm in mild spring conditions.

How warm and weatherproof is the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket holds heat with 80 g PrimaLoft® Black Eco, a synthetic polyester insulation made for long mountain days. The HELLY TECH® Professional shell is waterproof, windproof and breathable. Back sleeve ventilation zippers add breathability when you push harder. The jacket weighs 1140 g. LIFE POCKET+™ helps preserve your phone's battery life in the cold.

Which size should I choose in the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket?

The Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is a long-length men's ski jacket. Its mobility comes from articulated elbows and 4-way stretch fabric. Compare your chest measurement with the size chart on this product page. Pick the size that fits over the base layer and midlayer you ski in. The adjustable hem, adjustable cuffs, thumbhole cuffs and 2-way front zipper let you fine-tune the fit. If you want a short, cropped jacket, choose another model.

How is the Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket constructed?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is built from three parts that work together. The outer shell is a 4-way stretch fabric that uses HELLY TECH® Professional waterproof/breathable technology. A water-repellent finish sits on the outer fabric. Beneath the shell sits 80 g PrimaLoft® Black Eco insulation. The inside is finished with four separate linings, one of them a stretch lining. The pattern has no shoulder seams and uses articulated elbows. As a result, this ski jacket moves with your arms when you pole, reach or adjust your goggles.

Is the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket good for piste and resort skiing?

Piste and resort skiing is where the Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket belongs. The adjustable stretch powder skirt closes off the waist. The adjustable hood fits over a helmet. A dedicated ski pass pocket keeps your pass ready at the lift gates. For storage there are zippered hand pockets, a zippered chest pocket, an inside stash pocket and a phone holder inside pocket. The integrated RECCO® reflector can be located by the RECCO® detectors used by rescue organisations.

Where does the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket reach its limits?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is a long, insulated piste jacket, and that defines its limits. At 1140 g it is relatively heavy for a ski jacket. The 80 g PrimaLoft® Black Eco insulation is fixed. Ventilation runs only through the back sleeve zippers. On long uphill sections it therefore holds heat, and it can overheat during sustained high exertion or in mild conditions. For ski touring, climbing or technical mountaineering, a lighter, close-fitting shell is the better tool. Off-piste runs near the lifts are possible thanks to the waterproof shell, powder skirt, stretch fabric and RECCO®. Still, this jacket is not purpose-built for freeride.

What is the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket made of and how do I care for it?

The shell of the Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is 85% polyamide and 15% elastane. The elastane provides the 4-way stretch. The linings are made of polyester, polyester-elastane and polyamide, and the insulation is 100% polyester. Before washing, close all zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners. Wash the jacket with similar colours using a detergent for technical garments. Do not soak it, do not use fabric softener and do not iron on the print. Tumble drying reactivates the water-repellent treatment, so the outer fabric keeps shedding water.

Is the Alpha Long Insulated Jacket a sustainable choice?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Long Insulated Jacket is a bluesign® product, and its insulation is PrimaLoft® Black Eco.
