Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

Skistore Swing

De Opslach 3

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

The Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket is a men's insulated ski jacket for piste skiing on cold, windy days. It pairs 133 g of PrimaLoft® Black synthetic insulation, held in a welded channel lining with a waffle-like texture, with a HELLY TECH® Professional waterproof and breathable construction and welded seams. A RECCO® reflector, a powder skirt and a LIFE POCKET+™ for your phone round it out for full days at the resort.

Who is the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket for?

The Alpha Puffy Jacket suits skiers who spend most of the day on piste in cold, windy weather and want the warmth built into one jacket. The powder skirt, helmet-compatible hood and RECCO® reflector also cover occasional off-piste runs close to the resort. It is not built for ski touring or uphill skinning. With 133 g of fixed insulation and a weight of 1,370 g it runs too warm and too heavy for sustained climbing, even with the vents open. It is also the wrong choice for mild spring days, mountaineering, or for skiers who want one shell to layer up or down.

How warm and waterproof is the Alpha Puffy Jacket?

Warmth in the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket comes from 133 g of PrimaLoft® Black, a blowable synthetic fill of 100% polyester. Protection comes from HELLY TECH® Professional on a microporous 4-way stretch shell, with waterproof welded seams and a water-repellent finish. The insulation cannot be removed. When you work hard or the sun comes out, underarm ventilation zippers are the way to release heat.

Which size of the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket should I choose?

The Alpha Puffy Jacket has a 4-way stretch shell that moves with you. You can fine-tune the fit at the adjustable cuffs with thumbholes, the adjustable hem and the stretch powder skirt, and the hood adjusts to fit over a helmet. Measure your chest at its widest point and compare it with the Helly Hansen men's size chart on this page to choose your size.

How is the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket constructed?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket is built from three functional layers that work together. The outer is a HELLY TECH® Professional waterproof and breathable construction on a microporous 4-way stretch fabric of 85% polyamide and 15% elastane. Every seam is welded and waterproof. Inside, 133 g of PrimaLoft® Black, a blowable synthetic fill, sits in a welded channel lining of 100% polyester. The welded channels hold the fill in place and give the lining its waffle-like texture, which is designed to boost heat retention. A second lining of 85% polyamide and 15% elastane completes the build.

Is the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket suitable for off-piste skiing?

The Alpha Puffy Jacket is designed for the piste first. On groomed runs and lift-served terrain, the adjustable stretch powder skirt keeps snow out in deeper snow at the edge of the run and after a fall. The adjustable hood fits over a helmet, and the RECCO® reflector allows organised rescue teams with RECCO detectors to locate you. That makes this insulated ski jacket a solid choice for resort days with occasional off-piste runs. It is not a freeride or touring jacket. On the skin track, the fixed insulation and the 1,370 g weight stay too warm and too heavy, and the underarm zips only partly help. For mountaineering, climbing or weight-sensitive high-alpine objectives, a light and packable shell is the right tool.

Which pockets and details does the Alpha Puffy Jacket have?

The Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket has a LIFE POCKET+™ designed to keep your phone warm in the cold, plus a phone holder inside a pocket. Your lift pass goes in the dedicated ski pass pocket. Hand pockets and a chest pocket close with secure zippers, and one chest pocket holds a goggle wipe. An inside stash pocket takes gloves or a neck gaiter. Elastic cuffs with thumbholes sit under your gloves, and the outer cuffs and bottom hem adjust to seal out wind and snow. The jacket comes in Dark Blue, Grey Fog and Black.

How do you wash and dry the Helly Hansen Alpha Puffy Jacket?

The shell and second lining of the Alpha Puffy Jacket are 85% polyamide and 15% elastane. The main lining and the PrimaLoft® Black insulation are 100% polyester. Close all zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners before washing. Wash with similar colours, use a detergent for technical garments, and skip fabric softener. Do not soak the jacket. Drying matters as much as washing with channel insulation. Tumble dry with dryer balls until the jacket is completely dry, and lightly tap the channels during and after drying so the fill spreads evenly. Tumble drying also reactivates the water-repellent treatment on the outer fabric. Plan for this step: a channel-insulated jacket like this takes more care than a simple shell.
