Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

5. Refund

Who are the Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants for?
The Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants suit freeriders and backcountry skiers who hike for their lines and ski in mixed weather, from snow and wind to rain and sunny days. They are not the right choice if you want warm, insulated ski pants to wear over just a base layer on cold days, because there is no insulation. If you need a women-specific cut, note that this is a unisex pattern. At 800 g, they are also heavier than a dedicated touring pant for long ascents.

The Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants have a unisex cut with articulated knees, an adjustable waist and adjustable elastic suspenders to fine-tune waist and rise. Snow gaiters at the bottom leg fit over your ski boots. Compare your measurements with the size chart on this product page; women in particular should do this rather than assume women's sizing. Choose a size that leaves room for a base layer and, in cold conditions, an insulating layer underneath.
How are the Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants built?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants are hardshell ski pants with a 3-layer HELLY TECH® Professional construction. HELLY TECH® Professional is Helly Hansen's waterproof, breathable technology, and the seams are welded to keep them waterproof. The shell fabric and the lining are both 100% polyamide.
The Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants contain no insulation. They act as a weather barrier, and you regulate warmth with the layers you wear underneath: a base layer on milder days, a base layer plus an insulating layer in cold conditions. Back thigh ventilation zippers release excess heat when you work hard on the way up.
How do the Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants handle freeride and bootpacking?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants are designed for freeride and backcountry skiing. Reinforcement fabric on the knees and on the bottom leg adds durability, especially when you bootpack up steep terrain. Articulated knees improve comfort and fit when you climb and when you ski.
For days away from the piste, the Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants carry RECCO® and a D-ring to secure your avalanche beacon. The LIFE POCKET™ is designed to extend your phone's battery life in cold weather. Hand pockets with secure zipper closure and a thigh pocket hold small items, and snow gaiters at the bottom leg keep snow out of your boots.
Are the Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants suitable for ski touring?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants work for backcountry days that mix climbing and descending, helped by the thigh ventilation zippers and the reinforced lower leg. At 800 g, however, they are on the heavy side for long ski-touring ascents. If you count grams on every climb, a lighter dedicated touring pant is the better match. On the piste the pants serve as a weather shell, but because they are uninsulated, you need a warm layer underneath for cold lift rides.
What are the Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants made of and how do you wash them?
Both the shell and the lining of the Helly Hansen Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants are 100% polyamide. The outer fabric has a water-repellent treatment; tumble dry the pants after washing to reactivate it so snow and rain keep beading on the surface. Close all zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners before washing, do not soak the pants and skip fabric softener. Take them out of the machine promptly and do not iron over the print.
The Sogn Patrol Shell Ski Pants come in Ignite Orange and Black. Bright colours such as Ignite Orange may fade slightly, and dark colours such as Black must be washed separately.
