Body measurements in centimetres, from the official KJUS size chart. Measure yourself and pick the row your measurements fall in; between two sizes, go by the chest for tops and by the waist for trousers. KJUS writes a top size as the international size plus the EU size (M I 48-50) and a trouser size as the US waist size, with S, R or L for the leg length: S is short, R is regular, L is long.

What Is an Insulated Ski Jacket and What Are the Options?
An insulated ski jacket is essential for anyone seeking warmth and comfort while skiing or snowboarding. The insulation helps maintain your body temperature, even in the harshest conditions. There are different types of insulation, each with its own advantages. In this guide, we explain the differences so you can make the perfect choice.

Down Insulation: Lightweight and Extremely Warm
A jacket insulated with down is the ideal choice for those looking for maximum warmth without sacrificing comfort. Down provides excellent insulation and is very lightweight, making it perfect for cold, dry conditions. However, keep in mind that down performs less well in wet conditions unless the jacket has been specially treated to resist moisture.

Wool Insulation: Natural and Breathable
Jackets with wool insulation offer a natural alternative. Wool is not only warm but also breathable and retains heat even when damp. This option is ideal for those who prefer natural materials and comfort in varying weather conditions.

Synthetic Insulation: Versatile and Low-Maintenance
Synthetic insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate, offers excellent warmth and performs well in wet conditions. This option is often slightly heavier than down but dries quickly and is easier to care for. It’s ideal for active winter sports enthusiasts who value versatility and affordability.

Why Choose an Insulated Ski Jacket?

  • Optimal Warmth: Protect yourself against extreme cold.

  • Comfort During Activity: Maintain your freedom of movement without sacrificing insulation.

  • Suitable for Various Weather Conditions: Whether you're skiing in powder snow or braving a cold wind, an insulated jacket adapts to your needs.

Which Insulation Suits You Best?
The right insulation depends on your personal preferences and the conditions in which you’ll wear the jacket. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? Go for down. Need a versatile, low-maintenance option? Consider synthetic materials. Or choose wool for a natural feel.

Our premium ski jackets combine functionality, style, and top quality, so you can fully enjoy your winter sports adventure. Explore our collection and find your perfect insulated ski jacket!

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

The KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip is a men's stretch midlayer for alpine skiing, built from a heavier-weight four-way stretch knit of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. It is made to be worn under a ski jacket all day, with a half-zip front you can open to dump heat on a warm afternoon. What sets it apart is the combination of a substantial fabric weight with an antibacterial finish blended into the fabric to hold back odour-causing bacteria.

Who is the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip for?

This is for the skier who wants one warm, stretchy, fast-drying layer under the shell from first lift to last run, and who has weather protection covered by the jacket. The KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip is a knit top without a membrane, so it belongs behind a shell in wind, rain or falling snow rather than on the outside. If you want a hood, a powder skirt or insulated pockets, choose an insulated ski jacket instead.

How warm is the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip?

Warmth comes from the fabric itself rather than from a separate fill: a heavier-weight knit of 90% polyester and 10% elastane that holds air against the body while staying thin enough to layer under a ski jacket. The same knit wicks moisture off the skin and dries quickly, so sweat from a hard pitch does not sit against you on the chairlift. Heat leaves through the fabric and through the half-zip collar; there are no zipped vents.

Which size should you choose in the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip?

The KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip has a regular fit: standard through chest, waist and hem, average body length, and classic sleeves finishing at the wrist. The KJUS fit model is 188 cm tall and wears size M I 48-50, which on the men's tops chart means a chest of 100-105 cm and an arm length of 65-65.5 cm. Measure your chest and compare it with the size chart on this page. Plan for a base layer underneath, not for a second thick midlayer.

What is the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip made of and how does the construction work?

The KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip is a single-fabric garment: a heavier-weight knit of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with no membrane and no separate lining. The elastane content gives the fabric four-way stretch, so it moves with your shoulders and arms when you pole, reach or take a fall, and then returns to shape instead of bagging at the elbows. The polyester side of the blend does the moisture work: it pulls sweat off the skin, spreads it across the surface and lets it evaporate fast. An antibacterial finish is blended into the fabric to limit the growth of the bacteria that cause odour, which is what makes this top practical on consecutive ski days. The half-zip front is your main temperature control — open the collar on a warm run, close it when the wind picks up on the lift.

Is the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip suitable for ski touring and freeride days?

Yes, as the middle layer of a system. On a touring ascent the stretch knit lets you climb without the fabric pulling across the back, and the quick-drying construction means you arrive at the top damp rather than soaked. For freeride laps it sits comfortably under a shell and gives you mobility where an insulated jacket would restrict it. Where the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip stops is weather: it offers no barrier against wind, rain or snow, so on an exposed ridge or a stormy descent you need a shell over it. It also has no avalanche-safety function and no snow-sealing features such as a powder skirt — those jobs belong to your outer layer.

How do you wash and care for the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip?

The 90% polyester and 10% elastane blend is straightforward to look after, which matters for a layer worn directly over a base layer on every ski day. Machine wash the KJUS Canyon Midlayer Half-Zip at 30 °C and skip the bleach, which would damage the elastane and the antibacterial finish. Tumble drying is allowed at a low temperature, and if the collar or placket needs pressing, iron at a low setting. Do not dry clean. Washing it regularly at a low temperature is better for the fabric than letting sweat sit in the fibres between trips, and because polyester dries fast you can wash it mid-week on a long holiday and have it ready the next morning.
