More informationWhat Is an Insulated Ski Jacket and What Are the Options?
An insulated ski jacket is essential for anyone seeking warmth and comfort while skiing or snowboarding. The insulation helps maintain your body temperature, even in the harshest conditions. There are different types of insulation, each with its own advantages. In this guide, we explain the differences so you can make the perfect choice.
Down Insulation: Lightweight and Extremely Warm
A jacket insulated with down is the ideal choice for those looking for maximum warmth without sacrificing comfort. Down provides excellent insulation and is very lightweight, making it perfect for cold, dry conditions. However, keep in mind that down performs less well in wet conditions unless the jacket has been specially treated to resist moisture.
Wool Insulation: Natural and Breathable
Jackets with wool insulation offer a natural alternative. Wool is not only warm but also breathable and retains heat even when damp. This option is ideal for those who prefer natural materials and comfort in varying weather conditions.
Synthetic Insulation: Versatile and Low-Maintenance
Synthetic insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate, offers excellent warmth and performs well in wet conditions. This option is often slightly heavier than down but dries quickly and is easier to care for. It’s ideal for active winter sports enthusiasts who value versatility and affordability.
Why Choose an Insulated Ski Jacket?
-
Optimal Warmth: Protect yourself against extreme cold.
-
Comfort During Activity: Maintain your freedom of movement without sacrificing insulation.
-
Suitable for Various Weather Conditions: Whether you're skiing in powder snow or braving a cold wind, an insulated jacket adapts to your needs.
Which Insulation Suits You Best?
The right insulation depends on your personal preferences and the conditions in which you’ll wear the jacket. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? Go for down. Need a versatile, low-maintenance option? Consider synthetic materials. Or choose wool for a natural feel.
Our premium ski jackets combine functionality, style, and top quality, so you can fully enjoy your winter sports adventure. Explore our collection and find your perfect insulated ski jacket!

GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.

- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

- 700 fill power duck down plus sheet insulation
- 2-in-1 storm hood, adjusts in height and width
- Recycled shell and lining, no added PFAS
- Water-repellent only, not a waterproof shell
- No vents or ski features: not for skiing
- Oversized by design, offered in XS to L only
The Peak Performance Infusion Helium Down Parka Women is an oversized, long down parka built as an outer layer for cold winter days in town and around the resort. It fills 700 fill power duck down (90% down, 10% feather) alongside synthetic sheet insulation, under a recycled polyamide ripstop shell with waterproof two-layer blocks in the critical areas. The modular 2-in-1 storm hood adjusts in two directions, in height and in width.
Who is this parka for?
This is for a woman who wants maximum warmth and coverage for standing still in the cold: the school run, the walk into the village, travel days, waiting for a lift at the base area. The Infusion Helium Down Parka Women is not a ski jacket. There is no powder skirt, no wrist gaiters and no RECCO reflector, and it is not built for ski touring or any other high-output day.
How warm is the Infusion Helium Down Parka Women?
Warmth comes from two sources working together: 700 fill power duck down for loft and a synthetic sheet insulation layer, with the hood filled with 100% recycled polyester. Both the shell and the lining are quilted in the Helium pattern, which holds the down in place. A water-repellent treatment plus waterproof two-layer fabric blocks in exposed areas handle snow and short showers, but this is not a waterproof shell and down loses loft once it stays wet.
Which size should you choose?
The cut is oversized, so the parka sits deliberately wide and long through the body and sleeves, with room for a midlayer underneath. Peak Performance offers it in XS, S, M and L, so check the size chart on this page against your own measurements before ordering. Once you have the size, the waist drawcord, hem drawcord and velcro sleeve-hem straps pull the volume back in.
How is the Infusion Helium Down Parka Women constructed?
Peak Performance builds this parka around two insulation types rather than one. Duck down at 700 fill power, in a 90/10 down-to-feather ratio, provides the loft and the warmth-to-weight; a synthetic sheet insulation is combined with it, and the hood is filled with 100% recycled polyester. Holding it together is a ripstop face fabric in 100% recycled polyamide, quilted in the Helium pattern on both the outer fabric and the lining, with waterproof two-layer fabric blocks placed in the critical areas of shell and lining. Closure is a 2-way YKK Vislon zipper behind a double-folded storm placket with velcro, and the chin guard is fleece-lined.
Is this parka suitable for skiing?
No. The Infusion Helium Down Parka Women is classified as an outer layer for cold, dry to lightly wet winter conditions, and that is where it belongs: winter in town, travel, aprés-ski, village and resort base, slow winter walks. There are no ventilation openings, so body heat builds quickly as soon as you start climbing or skinning. There are no ski-specific features either. For sustained rain or wet snow a sealed shell is the better tool; here you get water repellency and partial two-layer blocking, not a water column.
What is it made of and how do you wash it?
The shell is 100% recycled polyamide, the lining 100% recycled polyester and the hood filling 100% recycled polyester, with a filling of 90% duck down and 10% feather. Machine wash at 40 °C on a delicate cycle with a technical detergent, which is what keeps the water-repellent treatment working; skip fabric softener and close the zippers first. Drying is the demanding part: tumble dry inside out on low with tennis balls for at least five hours, taking the parka out every half hour to shake the down loose by hand so it does not clot. Plan the wash for a day when you have the time.
What makes this a more responsible choice?
The Infusion Helium Down Parka Women is made without intentionally added PFAS, and every textile part named above is recycled: polyamide in the shell, polyester in the lining and in the hood filling. The down carries sterilization permit no. PA 9900(CN).
