More informationWhat Is an Insulated Ski Jacket and What Are the Options?
An insulated ski jacket is essential for anyone seeking warmth and comfort while skiing or snowboarding. The insulation helps maintain your body temperature, even in the harshest conditions. There are different types of insulation, each with its own advantages. In this guide, we explain the differences so you can make the perfect choice.
Down Insulation: Lightweight and Extremely Warm
A jacket insulated with down is the ideal choice for those looking for maximum warmth without sacrificing comfort. Down provides excellent insulation and is very lightweight, making it perfect for cold, dry conditions. However, keep in mind that down performs less well in wet conditions unless the jacket has been specially treated to resist moisture.
Wool Insulation: Natural and Breathable
Jackets with wool insulation offer a natural alternative. Wool is not only warm but also breathable and retains heat even when damp. This option is ideal for those who prefer natural materials and comfort in varying weather conditions.
Synthetic Insulation: Versatile and Low-Maintenance
Synthetic insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate, offers excellent warmth and performs well in wet conditions. This option is often slightly heavier than down but dries quickly and is easier to care for. It’s ideal for active winter sports enthusiasts who value versatility and affordability.
Why Choose an Insulated Ski Jacket?
-
Optimal Warmth: Protect yourself against extreme cold.
-
Comfort During Activity: Maintain your freedom of movement without sacrificing insulation.
-
Suitable for Various Weather Conditions: Whether you're skiing in powder snow or braving a cold wind, an insulated jacket adapts to your needs.
Which Insulation Suits You Best?
The right insulation depends on your personal preferences and the conditions in which you’ll wear the jacket. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? Go for down. Need a versatile, low-maintenance option? Consider synthetic materials. Or choose wool for a natural feel.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

- 37 l in 55 x 36 x 23 cm, lockable main zip
- Suitcase-style side zip plus top compartment
- Tarpaulin and ballistic nylon shell
- 3.02 kg empty eats into cabin weight limits
- Two wheels: pulled behind, not pushed upright
- Grab handles only, no shoulder or back carry
The Peak Performance Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L is a two-wheel cabin trolley for air travel and short trips, with 37 litres of volume in external dimensions of 55 x 36 x 23 cm. It opens suitcase-style along a full side zip and from a separate zippered top compartment, so you pack it flat instead of digging down from above. The shell combines tarpaulin and ballistic nylon, and the main compartment zip is lockable.
Who is the Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L for?
This trolley suits a traveller who wants one hard-wearing wheeled cabin bag that keeps clothing and small items sorted in zipped mesh compartments. It works as weekend luggage, as a transfer bag next to a larger case, and as the bag you keep with you on the plane. It is not a ski trip bag: 37 litres will not take ski boots, a helmet and outerwear together. If you need to carry your luggage on your back over snow or stairs, choose a bag with shoulder straps, because the Peak Performance Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L has top and side grab handles and wheels only.
How much does the Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L hold and weigh?
Volume is 37 litres within 55 x 36 x 23 cm. Empty weight is 3.02 kg, which is part of your cabin allowance before you put anything in, so weigh your packed load if your airline enforces a 7 or 8 kg limit. Inside, an organizer with zipped mesh pockets and see-through mesh dividers splits the space, so toiletries, cables and clean clothes stay apart.
Which size do I need?
The Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L comes in one size (NS), so there is no sizing decision to make. What matters is the fit against your airline's cabin rules: measure 55 x 36 x 23 cm against the allowance for your carrier and class before you travel, and remember that the wheels and the extendable handle are included in those external dimensions.
How is the Peak Performance Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L built?
The body of the Peak Performance Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L is made from tarpaulin and ballistic nylon: a 100% polyester shell panel and a 100% polyamide shell panel, two fabrics used for abrasion and impact rather than for low weight. The bag rolls on two inline rubber wheels and is steered with an extendable trolley handle, which means it is pulled behind you at an angle rather than pushed upright on four castors. Closures run on a YKK reversed coil zip, and the main compartment zip is lockable. Top and side carrying handles let you lift it into an overhead locker or a car boot.
Does it work as cabin luggage on a flight?
That is what this trolley is for. The external dimensions of 55 x 36 x 23 cm and the 37 l volume put it in the classic cabin format, and the suitcase-style side zip means you can open it flat on a hotel bed or a security table and reach everything at once. The zippered exterior top compartment takes the documents, charger and headphones you want without unpacking. Where it stops is weight and terrain: at 3.02 kg empty it starts with a meaningful share of a typical cabin weight limit already used, and with two wheels and grab handles only it is happier on airport floors and pavement than on deep snow, gravel or long flights of stairs.
Which materials are used and how do you clean it?
Shell 1 is 100% polyester, shell 2 is 100% polyamide and the lining is 100% recycled polyester. That combination is built to take scuffing from baggage belts and luggage racks, but it is not a sealed dry bag, so keep anything that must stay dry in its own waterproof pouch during sustained rain. Do not put the Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L in a washing machine. Wipe it down with a damp cloth instead, skip bleach and dry cleaning, and let it line dry in the shade rather than in a tumble dryer or on a radiator. Do not iron it.
What is the sustainability story?
The lining of the Vertical Cabin Trolley 37L is 100% recycled polyester. Both shell fabrics are virgin polyester and polyamide, so the recycled content sits on the inside of the bag rather than across the whole construction.
