GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

The Mountain Studio Reversible Light Down Jacket (DA-1467) is a men's lightweight down jacket insulated with 700 fill power RDS-certified down and built to be worn either way round: one quilted face, one smooth face, both intended to face out. It is made for cold, dry conditions, either on its own or as an insulating layer under a waterproof shell. It is not a shell itself: The Mountain Studio states explicitly that this jacket is not waterproof.
Who is the Reversible Light Down Jacket for?
This down jacket suits you if you want one understated piece that does two jobs: warmth under a ski shell on the hill, and a clean jacket for town, travel and apres-ski. Two colourways are offered, each pairing two tones across the two faces: Otter / Delicioso Brown and Sky Captain / Kelp. It is the wrong choice if you need your outer layer to handle rain, wet snow or storm conditions, and it is not built for high-output efforts where sweat saturates the fill.
How warm is the Reversible Light Down Jacket?
The insulation is 700 fill power RDS-certified down, held in overlapping chambers that are woven together to reduce cold spots and heat loss. Elastic cuffs close the sleeves at the wrist. The Mountain Studio does not publish a fill weight in grams, a garment weight or a temperature rating, so the warmth of this jacket cannot be compared numerically with other down jackets. Down also loses loft when it gets damp, which is why a shell matters in wet weather.
Which size should you choose?
The cut is regular and ergonomic, with room for a midlayer. Sizing runs true to size, so order your usual size. Go one size up only if you deliberately want a looser fit or plan to layer heavily underneath. Available in XS to 2XL.
How is the Reversible Light Down Jacket constructed?
The Mountain Studio Reversible Light Down Jacket is a two-faced garment rather than a jacket with a lining. One side is quilted, the other is smooth, and both are designed to be worn facing out, so a single jacket gives you two looks. Inside, the down chambers overlap and are woven together; that construction is intended to reduce the cold spots and heat loss that occur at the divisions between baffles. The fill is 700 fill power RDS-certified down. There is no membrane, no taped seam construction and no stated water column, because this is an insulation piece and not a shell.
Is the Reversible Light Down Jacket suitable for skiing?
On the mountain, the Reversible Light Down Jacket works as the warm layer under a waterproof shell jacket. Worn that way, the low-bulk down build adds warmth on cold lift rides and cold, dry resort days without filling out your shell. Off the hill it stands on its own for travel, apres-ski and everyday winter wear. Where it stops is weather: in rain, wet snow or prolonged damp it needs a shell over it, and it should not be used as the outer layer in storm conditions. No hood specification, pocket configuration, snow skirt, RECCO reflector or packability detail is documented by The Mountain Studio, so do not plan around those.
What is it made of and how do you wash it?
The Mountain Studio publishes no fabric or fill compositions for this jacket beyond the down itself, which is RDS-certified at 700 fill power; the outer fabrics are described only as lightweight performance fabric. The hardware is specified: YKK Vislon zippers and a TMS silicone logo patch, in line with the brand's habit of keeping branding small. For care, machine wash at 30 °C, inside out, separately, with all fasteners closed and a mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener, as softener coats down and flattens loft. Do not iron and do not dry clean. Tumble dry on low with a few tennis balls so the down breaks up and regains loft; a down jacket that is put away damp will insulate noticeably less.
How sustainable is the down?
The down in the Reversible Light Down Jacket is certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), which traces the down supply chain and sets animal welfare requirements. No further environmental data, such as recycled content in the face fabrics or a country of origin, is published for this jacket.
