2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

The combination that sets them apart is a close, ergonomic silhouette with genuine stretch, rather than the wide volume of a freeride trouser.
Who are these ski trousers for?
The P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants suit a woman who skis full resort days in cold, wet weather and wants warmth already in the trouser, over a single base layer. They also work for snowboarding and for winter wear in town, and the manufacturer states they perform in backcountry terrain. They are not the right choice for high-output skinning in mild weather, because the insulation cannot be removed, and not for riders who need a bib construction, documented inner snow gaiters or a RECCO reflector: the source describes none of these.
How warm and how waterproof are these insulated ski trousers?
The 3-layer ALP-3 membrane in the P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants is rated 30,000 mm water column and 30,000 g/m²/24h, is PFAS-free and carries a PFAS-free DWR finish, with every seam taped. The 60 g/m² PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation is a medium-to-light weight: enough for cold lift-served days in motion, not an extreme-cold or standing-still trouser. A DuPont Sorona barrier at the back of the waistband covers the lower back.
Which size should you choose?
Take your regular size. The Mountain Studio cuts this trouser in a regular women's ski fit with room for a base layer underneath, worn over ski boots with zippers at the lower legs. If you prefer a roomier feel or wear thick base layers, go one size up. Sizes run XS to XL; check the size chart against your hip and inseam measurements.
How is the 3-layer construction of the P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants built up?
Three elements work together in The Mountain Studio P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants. The outer face is a 40-denier nylon with four-way stretch, so the fabric follows the knee and hip instead of restricting them. Bonded to it is the ALP-3 membrane, a PFAS-free 3-layer laminate published at 30,000 mm waterproof and 30,000 g/m²/24h. Inside sits 60 g/m² PrimaLoft Gold Eco, a synthetic stretch insulation that keeps its loft when damp. All seams are taped, the zippers are YKK AquaGuard, and a PFAS-free DWR finish keeps the face fabric from wetting out.
Are these ski trousers suitable for the piste, and where do they stop?
Resort and piste skiing in cold, wet conditions is what the P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants are made for: fixed insulation, a 30,000 mm membrane and laminated 600D Cordura scuff guards where ski edges and boot buckles hit the lower legs. Zippers at the bottom of the legs open over ski boots and let heat out, and separate ventilation zippers dump excess warmth. That is the only regulation available, because the insulation is sewn in. On a hard skin track in mild weather you will run warm. The brand also states backcountry capability, but for high-output touring an uninsulated shell trouser gives you more control. Avalanche terrain where a RECCO reflector is expected is outside what the source documents.
What are they made of and how do you wash them?
The shell of the P-5 W 3L Stretch Insulated Pants is 40-denier stretch nylon, reinforced at the lower legs with laminated 600D Cordura, a fabric chosen for abrasion resistance rather than weight. The insulation is PrimaLoft Gold Eco with 55% recycled content, and the barrier at the back waistband is DuPont Sorona. Wash at 40 °C, inside out and separately, with a mild detergent and all fasteners closed. Skip bleach, fabric softener and dry cleaning, all of which damage the membrane and the DWR. Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the water-repellent finish; iron cool only if needed.
What makes these trousers a more sustainable choice?
Three things are documented. The PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation is made with 55% recycled content. The ALP-3 membrane technology and the DWR treatment are both PFAS-free. And a repair kit is included with the garment, so a tear from an edge or a lift chair can be fixed rather than ending the trouser's life. The Mountain Studio publishes no country of origin for this style.
